REPRESSION AGAINST AEUP MEMBERS INTENSIFIES IN THE SOUTH
The Meles regime holds too many members of the All Ethiopian Unity Party (AEUP) in its secret jails and labor camps like Zwai, Dedesa, etc. In the eyes of the regime this party is considered as Amhara, an ethnic group much hated and repressed by the Tigrean chauvinist Meles regime. Recently eight leading members of the AEUP have been detained in Southern Ethiopia.

ENVIROMENTAL DISASTER IN ETHIOPIA MELES ZENAWI REGIME BURNING FORESTS OF HISTORIC MONASTERIES
Viva Africa—They Need Us!
Hama Tuma
There are quite a few people, not necessarily white, who have concluded that we Africans, if only we did not have minerals and oil, rich and fertile lands up for grabbing, (we) would be quite useless and irrelevant in the march of History. France’s embattled president even said we are just at the door of civilization and the past century and not yet in though he did not say whether it is because we did not knock, or were too lazy to bother or were kept out.
37 years of the TPLF and the footprints of Meles Zenawi
By Kahsay Berhe and Tesfay Atsbeha Part two - March 2012
Why are we writing about Meles? Meles has absolute power as all his predecessors. He can decide the fate of more than 80 Million Ethiopians and probably the coming generations. As every major aspect of life of all Ethiopians is controlled by Meles, there is no possibility for Ethiopians to take their own destiny into their own hands without removing Meles. Since Meles, more than anybody else, has been committing so many crimes with impunity, it is Imperative to deal with the worst enemy of the people before everything else and hence expose his crimes.

SALE OF WOMEN TO MODERN SLAVERY CONTINUED
A few days after the brutal death of domestic worker Alem Dechassa in Beirut (Lebanon)—she was beaten in broad daylight by her employer and later allgedly committed suicide in a hospiotal--, the regime in Addis Abeba has revealed that it would send some 45,000 Ethiopian women to Saudi Arabia, a country notorious for mistreating domestic workers (and all women for that matter).
Ethiopia again attacks rebel targets in Eritrea
ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Ethiopian troops carried out more attacks on rebels inside Eritrea on Saturday, a government source said, a day after its neighbor called for U.N. action over a similar incursion earlier in the week.
The attacks are the first on Eritrean soil that Ethiopia has admitted to since the end of a 1998-2000 war that killed 70,000 people and left a border dispute unresolved. Eritrea says there have been others.

Ethiopia and Winds of war
By Yilma Bekele
War is upon us again. War defines the Ethiopian Government. Since it came to power it has been at war with its citizens. No region or ethnic group has been spared from this infection. The regime is always at war with opposition politicians, journalists, publishers, intellectuals, and business people to mention a few. The regime has fought in Gambella, Hawasa, Ambo, Arba Minch and other localities against its own people. The Ethiopian Government is at war with our Somali-Ethiopians in the Ogaden and has been accused of war crimes.
THE FARCE CALLED KONY (2012)
By Hama Tuma
To avoid any possible misunderstanding, let me start out by stating that Joseph Kony, the notorious leader of the Ugandan rebel Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) , the relative of the equally infamous self declared witch Alice Lakwena ( frequented by many top Kenyan officials in Nairobi) is no joke at all.

HORRENDOUS CRIMES AGAINST DOMESTIC WORKERS IN LEBANON
The Meles Zenawi regime is deeply involved in the human trafficking of Ethiopians (mostly women) and the sale of children for adoption by foreigners. Profitable businesses both. Ethiopian women sold to modern slavery in the Middle East have been suffering for long without anyone coming to their rescue. Especially in Lebanon,

Ethiopia as a waste disposal.
By Yilma Bekele
The embattled former tyrant president of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh is going to settle in Ethiopia. Ethiopia will be his home in exile. Ethiopia was not his first choice. He wanted to settle in Oman his neighbor on the West. The Sultan of Oman was not receptive to the idea. His attempt to go to the UAR was politely rebuffed. Ethiopia is a refuge of last resort. We are being used as a dump. I am certainly familiar with that practice of getting rid of waste. Upon finishing a project we always have left over debris. We normally haul it to a public dump where they charge by the pound. The City makes extra effort to recycle our garbage.
The Ethio-Norway Forced Repatriation in Prospect
By Samson Seifu
In my previous article entitled ‘’The Ethio-Norway Forced Repatriation Agreement in Retrospect’’ published on 13 February 2012 on different websites, I presented the background and the events which led to the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In this article the events after the announcement and the prospects afterwards with focus on the plights of the stakeholders (the rejected asylum seekers from Ethiopia who have been living in Norway for many years, from 3-20 years) are presented as follows:
Ethiopia's Farmer Relocation Plan Raises New Concerns
By: Larisa Epatko
In an effort to clear land for investors and help boost Ethiopia's economy, the government in the East African nation is relocating farmers from land they've used for decades, sometimes against their will. Reporter Cassandra Herrman reports on Tuesday's NewsHour about how the "villagization" plan is affecting people in one farming community.

THE AFRICAN PARADOX CONTINUES
Hama Tuma
President Museveni of Uganda justified his clinging to power by illegally amending the Ugandan Constitution with the argument: I have stayed long in government and I am now an expert on governance and thus the better placed to rule Uganda. It is a kind of a vicious circle argument more in the line of lawyers defending the indefensible. And the AU built on the ruins of the most notorious Ethiopian prison, the Kerchielle, where thousands have perished and suffered, its new HQ. It is very appropriate in my view as the thieves and embezzlers and killers who are gathered within this useless body should sit on chairs on top of a former dungeon and hanging ground.
