ARLINGTON, Va. - The Ethiopian jail guard suspected of torturing and maiming political prisoners during that country's "Red Terror" era came to the United States in 2004 under a false identity, seeking asylum and claiming he would be persecuted if he returned home.
He lived comfortably in Colorado until one day in 2011 when another Ethiopian recognized him outside a cafe and confronted him: "I think I know you."
That's how Worku, convicted last year of identity theft and immigration fraud, came to the attention of federal law enforcement authorities.
The government would like to see that happen more often.

THE AMHARA PEOPLE FACING DANGER OF GENOCIDE
An evil campaign has been fired up in Ethiopia, by the regime in place and other extremist elements, to provoke violence and the mass slaughter of Amharas, considered by the TPLF/EPRDF regime and its supporters as the main enemy as a people. Inside the country and in the Diaspora, crazed extremist elements have been mobilized to call for the massacre of Amharas and some of these elements have even been guests of Western TV stations and radio programs given the chance to spread their propaganda of hatred.

Yekatit and the EPRP
By Gemencho
Yekatit is 40 years old. Though at the time, the EPRP was too young, it had not even declared its existence-, its organ, Democracia, was already a household name amongst the Yekatit revolutionaries. Democracia spoke their language, hoped their hopes, articulated their visions, and helped shape the course of their struggle. An organic link between Yekatit and the EPRP was already in place. In a way, the EPRP was born to cook Yekatit. So, with the birth of the EPRP, Yekatit was inevitable

The malevolence and fear aggression of barbarous TPLF regime against the Ethiopian Oromo students
By Nathnael Abate/NorwaySince the ferocious TPLF liberation front come in to power in 1991 there have been a lot of mass killing, torture, arrest and persecution of all ethnics in Ethiopia. TPLF targeted the Oromo people and Oromo students in trepidation of mass uprising. Ruling Ethiopia regime falsely accused tens of thousands of Oromo’s for associating with illegally categorized political organization the OLF, for asking question of rights and for their political opinion expression.
An escalating cycle of bloodshed has left tens of thousands dead and entire communities displaced in the Central African Republic. Peacekeeping forces have so far failed to stop the terror

MAY DAY 2014 WORKERS OR SLAVES?
EPRP
The TPLF/regime which took power in 1991 made it its priority task to dismantle workers' organizations, Teachers, students and women's unions. A draconian Labor Law deprived workers of their rights and activist union leaders were arrested or forced into exile. The same happened with the other unions and the regime set up its own satellite unions like all totalitarian powers that stand against the civic society and its autonomous organizations.

The foundation intimately linked to the Green party, actively participating in ecological, democratic and peaceful movements, and is contributor to civil society organizations in Germany and on a worldwide level. In this spirit it actively promotes such ideals in Africa and other Third World countries.
