What is a Revolution?
Ever since the beginning of the Arab Spring there has been much talk of revolutions. Not from me. I’ve argued against the position that mass uprisings on their own constitute a revolution, i.e., a transfer of power from one social class (or even a layer) to another that leads to fundamental change. The actual size of the crowd is not a determinant unless the participants in their majority have a clear set of social and political aims. If they do not, they will always be outflanked by those who do or by the state that will recapture lost ground very rapidly.

Jersusalem's classical music lovers honour Emahoy Tsegué-Mariam Guebrù, 90, after a life devoted to God and the piano
From a small, spartan room in the courtyard of the Ethiopian church off a narrow street in Jerusalem, a 90-year-old musical genius is emerging into the spotlight.
For almost three decades, Emahoy Tsegué-Mariam Guebrù has been closeted at the church, devoting herself to her life's twin themes – faith and music. The Ethiopian nun, whose piano compositions have enthralled those who have stumbled across a handful of recordings in existence, has lived a simple life, rarely venturing beyond the monastery's gates.

The Ethiopian Revolution is on its final stage of development. This means that the people have to choose which system of government to follow, namely, the one party system like that People’s Republic of China, the two party system like that of the United States of America or the multi-system of European (Germany for instance)style of government.

Ethiopians 'seek asylum en masse in South Korea'
Two-thirds of a group of young professional Ethiopians who went for training in South Korea have stayed to seek asylum, it's reported.
Forty chose to apply for political asylum on the grounds of "gross human rights violations", while just 19 returned home, according to London-based Ethiomedia website. The pro-opposition news outlet quotes one of the 40, Sisay Woldegabriel, as complaining of Muslims being "brutalized by police and government forces". The group is apparently staying at Henan Refugee Camp and Ethiomedia suggests they've been welcomed as a result of Ethiopia's support for Seoul - in the form of thousands of troops - during the Korean War.
