A receipt of acknowledgment to insufficient and misguided TPLF’s code of conduct yields a landslide victory to the self-declared and illegitimate regime . A political process carried out by a single authoritarian directive, to unequivocally serve its own interest and deliberate more insult to receptive oppositions.

PRESS RELEASE ON THE FARCE OF AN ELECTION IN ETHIOPIA

The ruling EPRDF has won almost all the seats contested in this year's general election and by making the one party state official has once again blatantly violated the right of the Ethiopian people to have not only fair and free elections but to enjoy multi partism and democracy.

ELECTION IN ETHIOPIA = NO ELECTION IN ERITREA
What is election? It’s a process of choice. What is choice? It’s a selection among many alternatives. But choice involves free spirit.

This is really a joke, a pastime actually as dictator and intelligent are oxymoron. Sort of an idiot Savant, a fine mess, a little pregnant, accurate rumors. An Amhara Weyane and abundant poverty. Of late some quarters have insisted on calling the tyrant in Addis Abeba intelligent at a time when he is blatantly rigging an election while at the same time insisting on calling Robert Mugabe a blundering fool.
EU observers have criticised Ethiopia's election, as Prime Minister Meles Zenawi held a victory rally attended by tens of thousands of people.

ADWA I: An Act of Defense
According to thousands of written and oral histories as well as to historical beliefs including that of mine, the battle of ADWA (1896) was a defense against foreign aggression. I do not have to explain what conquest and aggression means to my readers.

I am no hashish smoker and I am not even restating the famous Marx saying that religion is the opium of the people. To each his own belief, poison, delusion or fantasy though I do know this can be a luxury in Africa where tyrants can ban Christmas, declare Christianity a crime, proclaim Islam a religion of slave drivers.

Activists loyal to Prime Minister Meles Zenawi’s Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front have thrown stones at his car, breaking its windows and puncturing its tires over various occasions while campaigning in the Oromiya region in the past two weeks, said Merara, who is a parliamentary candidate.

New York, April 30, 2010—In light of the Ethiopian government’s longstanding practice of jailing journalists on trumped-up criminal charges, the Committee to Protect Journalists is concerned about the detentions last week of two government TV journalists on allegations of misusing state property. CPJ is monitoring the legal proceedings closely.

Parts of southern Ethiopia resemble the scenery in a Tarzan movie. When I was there last fall, the green forested hills were blanketed in white mist and rain poured down on the small farms and homesteads. In the towns, slabs of meat hung in the butchers’ shops and donkeys hauled huge sacks of coffee beans, Ethiopia’s major export, along the stony dirt roads.
